The redevelopment of this forty-two acre project began with two phases of mixed-use office and retail buildings that created an anchor point for the overall master plan. SKYSONG is focused upon creating a pedestrian scaled environment that offers shade, seating and places for people to gather. An iconic shade element protecting the main pedestrian and vehicular intersection provides a plaza for community activities and café seating. A pair of water features embrace the café seating areas which utilize the building HVAC condensate for supplemental water. The perimeter of the project was sculpted with bold mass plantings and landscape berms that helped reduce earthwork export. The adjacent neighborhood seamlessly knits into the landscape character, unifying the major arterial roadways that border the project.
