Originally from a farm and ranch in eastern New Mexico, Kennetha has spent her life exploring the many beautiful and diverse landscapes of the southwest. Her passion for designing with nature and for people inspired her to pursue Landscape Architecture, achieving a Bachelor’s of Science in Landscape Architecture in 2015.  Her continued interest in the bond between people and nature is a motivating force behind her work, which seeks to seamlessly weave natural systems into people’s everyday experiences. Always looking for a new place to explore or excuse to be outside, you can find her hiking, snowboarding, at the lake, camping, or traveling.

Born and raised outside of Chicago, Illinois, Roger was lured to the unique landscapes of the desert southwest in 1992.  Having achieved a BS in Landscape Architecture from Arizona State University in 1997, Roger has since served numerous roles as a landscape architect, urban designer and planner on various national projects including two ASLA national award-winning projects in the general design category.

In November of 2019 while teaching studio at ASU, Roger collapsed with an aneurysm and subarachnoid hemorrhage, leading to a 6 week stay in the ICU at Barrow Neurological Institute, followed by rehabilitation to re-learn walking and talking. An opportunity at a “second life” resulted in new perspectives and deeper appreciations in and out of the profession.

Roger enjoys outdoor and cultural nature-based pursuits with his wife Wendi and two boys Denver and Mavrick, including the salvage and rescue of Agave pups or seed collection of native flora to help populate and nurture the environment.
